Abby's First Birthday

I would first like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came, it was so nice to have family and friends celebrate with us. I would also like to give a special thanks to my parents for hosting the event, they always do a stupendous job and the food rocked! As usual Abby was spoiled rotten she received way to many toys, including a toddler bed. I know what your thinking "ALREADY" but so far so good and I think she was ready for it! I would also like to give a shout out to my Grandma Hansen, who gave her the perfect bed, because of the fabulous job she did sewing the bedding for us. Every enjoyed eating and eating and eating (well maybe I was the only one who ate that much, but enjoyed it!) It was of course time for dessert. We ordered two big cookies from Paradise Bakery and let Abby gorge
herself in one designed just for her (she didn't got to bed until late that night... I think it was the sugar overload). We then opened all the wonderful gifts that were given to her and she loves them all! Again thank you to all who came and celebrated with us! We had so much fun!

how funny.....

Well yesterday abby and myself took a drive to my parents in avondale ,

we left arrount 3pm and abby had been awake from about 12noon, we

stayed and played with "grandma, grandpa and aunt bonny" for a few hours

left around 6pm , well abby had not slept all day and was starting to get really cranky and upset,

well from experence i have learned from experence that music will sooth the beast, as i was scrooling thru my ipod to find something that would make her happy, nothing would do it all of a sudden , step in the beach boys .... wow, she was happy andthe it dawned on me , i like the beatles, and my wife likes all the oldies sort of music, and alothough the beach boys are niether theay are a somewhat mix, and that is what abby is ...... a mix of me and Jer so why would she like what we like? she has foud her own, adn its funny that it is almost an exact mix of what we like.......

A Whole New World

At the end of May my parents surprised all of us with a 100% payed for trip to the Wonderful World of Disney! Hurray!! Me and Carl were so excited, of course we were also a little nervous, this being the first vacation we ever took Abby on. But, she was so good, even for the 6 hour car ride to Anaheim. The first day at Disney Abby rode the Carousal, at first she wasn't to excited about it, but once daddy got on with her she started to enjoy herself! I was so grateful that my parents were there that gave me and Carl the opportunity to be teenagers again and ride some of the bigger rides with the rest of the teenagers, but let me tell you I am not as young as I used to be, sometimes it was hard to keep up them! I was really surprised how many of the rides they let Abby on and oddly enough she really enjoyed alot of them, especially dumbo! Another attraction Abby really enjoyed was the Whinni the Pooh stuffed animals in the store. My favorite ride was space mountain and tower of terror and like always Carl enjoyed pirates of Caribbean and getting wet! And for those of you who don't know Carl is in love with Mary Poppins and even had the chance to meet her, even though he insists that she was touching his bum, we must remind him that she is "practically perfect in every way" As far as trips go I would give this one 5 stars, 2 thumbs way up, a perfect 10 and a standing ovation. Thanks to my parents we had a great family trip, and I hope its not the last!

Let's see if I can figure this one out!

Like Carl stated previously we have been married almost three years. On our first anniversary Carl took me back to Ireland to meet the rest of his family, whom I enjoyed so much. They are the kindest people I have ever met. We stayed two weeks and saw some beautiful sights. The only downside to the whole vacation was a month before we left for Belfast I found out I was pregnant, which was great, but boy was I sick. I didn't get to enjoy any of the great food, I stuck to Mcdonalds, KFC and Burger King. Not very adventurous in the food department, but we still had a blast! We stayed with his mom and her husband Stewart. They took us to Dublin to see some of the sights and to a fantastic pantomime of Aladdin (my favorite Disney movie). We also had the privilege of driving along the coast of Ireland with Robert and Doris, It was so beautiful we also toured some castle and old church ruins. Pat and Jackie (Carl's aunt and uncle) were so kind and let us stay in their beautiful home which over looked a small stream, the ocean and some ruins.

I also got to meet Carl's nanny, she was wonderful. I love her spunk and personality. All in all I loved Ireland and can't wait for me and my husband to share with our children where they come from, and take them to meet their family and see the beauty of Ireland!

ok one more,
